The resources of the library, in addition to 63430 books and 100 Technical Journals (National) CDs supplied with certain books and journals and magazines also CDs on Data Structures, Signals and Systems and Digital Communications from IIT, Delhi, further, our users are able to access journals of IEEE, IEE, ASCE, ASME and SPRINGER in the Digital Library through AICTE Mandatory.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

AUTOMATION: The library has begun the process of automation.  Some of the library functions, i.e. circulation, OPAC and office functions have been computerized.  The concerned software is developed within the Institute by the library and department of computer science & engineering staff.  Introduction of bar-coding technology has taken automation of circulation counter one step further.

NATIONAL SEMINAR:  The Library had conducted a National Seminar on LIBINFOTECH (Library Information Technology in the New Millennium) on 20th July, 2000, Sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.  The Seminar was attended by 68 persons from several states such as Kerala, Goa, Maharastra, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, etc. besides Andhra Pradesh.

PAPERS PRESENTED:  The Librarian co-authored three papers in the field of Library Automation, which were presented in the seminar, and the Asst. Librarian Presented a paper on ‘user education in the seminar.’  Further the librarian presented two papers in IMEL conference held at IIT, Kanpur in February, 2002.

The Librarian and Asst. Librarian actively participated in various committees of the National Conference of Indian Library Association, New Delhi organized by Kakatiya University Warangal in 2001 and the Asst. Librarian attended the National Conference of India Library Association, New Delhi at Osmania University, Hyderabad in 2007.
