The major activities carried out by EDC are as following.

Year 2013-14:

  1. EDC, KITSW, was instrumental in equipping a group of students with all necessary support for BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION- 2013, in which they bagged first prize.

 

  1. EDC, KITSW in association with GO GREEN CLUB of the institute had initiated an entrepreneurial activity for the students of the institute by way of making and selling of ECO GANESH IDOLS, which provided considerable financial gain to the participated students.

 

  1. EDC, KITSW had organized “ENTREPRENEURSHIP ORIENTATION PROGRAMME”, for the final and pre-final year students on 28-12-2013.

 

  1. EDC, KITSW had organized “ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS CAMP” in coordination with Andhra Pradesh Productivity council (APPC), Hyderabad and in association with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat, from 25th -27th February 2014, for the final year students in January 2014, in which about 143 students had participated.

  1. EDC, KITSW had made an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with A.P Society for Knowledge Networks (APSFKNW), Hyderabad and Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. As part of the MOU, the institute had become the pride partner in the prestigious “TECHNOLOGY ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMME (TEP)”, being carried out by them. Only about a dozen colleges of the state had got this opportunity.

 

Year 2014-15:

  1. EDC, KITSW had organized Orientation programme on “Entrepreneurial Skill Development”, for the final and pre-final year students on 11-07-2014.
  1. EDC, KITSW had organized INDUSTRIAL MOTIVATION CAMP”, in association with MSME Development Institute, Hyderabad, on 01-08-2014.
  1. EDC, KITSW had organized a two day design thinking workshop on “Smart thinking for Smart Cities”, exclusively for the first year students from 15-12-2014 and 16-12-2014. The programme was organized by the ISB-TEP students, which was highly appreciated by the then Municipal Commissioner Sri. Suvarna Das Panda.
  1. The students of EDC had bagged the First prize at the DEVTHON DESIGN COMPETITION, for their prototype model on Smart Parking System, conducted by Computer Society of India (CSI) on their 50th Anniversary, held at Gurunanak Institute of Technology, Hyd.
  1. EDC, KITSW had organized a two week Faculty development programme on ED (FDP on ED) sponsored by DST in association with ni-msme, Hyderabad, from 23/02/2015 to 07/03/2015”.

Year 2015-16:

  1. EDC, KITSW had organized a two day “Design Thinking Workshop” for the ISB-TEP 2015 batch students of this institute on 15.08.15 and 16.08.15. This was organized in coordination with the faculty from Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.
  1. EDC, KITSW had been sanctioned with a two week Training of Trainers on Entrepreneurship Development (TOT on ED) sponsored by Ministry of MSME, New Delhi in association with ni-msme, Hyd.The programme was conducted at KITS Huzurabad, from 01/02/2016 to 13/02/2016.
  1. EDC, KITSW had been sanctioned with DST-NIMAT project by Entrepreneurship Development Institution of India (EDII), Ahmedabad. Under this project the cell had organized “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC)”, from 03.02.2016 to 05.02.2016.

Year 2016-17:

  1. EDC, KITSW had organized a two day “Design Thinking Workshop” for the ISB-TEP 2016 batch students of this institute on 13.08.16 and 14.08.16. This was organized at NIT Warangal, in coordination with the faculty from Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.
  1. EDC KITSW had organized a 2-day workshop- “Idea to Marketing Boot Camp” on 09th and 10th of March, 2017, for TEP registered students from KITSW, NITW and SREC. About 82 students were trained by the experts from ISB.

Year 2017-18:

  1. EDC KITSW had organized a one day workshop- Power To India through iB Hubs lead programme on 16.09.2017.

 

  1. EDC KITSW had organized a two day Workshop – “Startup Utsav”, from 15-02-18 to 16-02-18, in coordination with CSE department. About 500 students had participated in the programme.

 

  1. EDC KITSW had organized a two day boot camp-iB Hubs LEAD Boot Camp, on 10.03.2018 and 11.03.2018, in association with iB Hubs and Techno-Entrepreneur and Leadership Lab (TELL) – IIT Kharagpur under the patronage of Startup India.

 

Year 2018-19:

  1.  EDC KITSW had organized Orientation Programme on Entrepreneurship Development for all the first year admitted students (2018-19) as part of 3 week Orientation Programme.

 

  1.  ISB-TEP orientation Programme was conducted on 04.09.2018 to the second year students. Ms.Ekta Chowdary from Indian School of Business (ISB) and Mr.Mallesh from TS- TASK, Hyderabad had addressed the students.
  1.  As part of the Startup India Telangana Yatra, conceptualized by Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC), the Startup Yatra Van had reached KITSW on 19.09.2018. Mr.Karan Singh had addressed the students. The interested participants had registered for Innovation competition.

 

  1. The students of EDC-KITSW had participated in the Startup Yatra Boot Camp held at NIT Warangal, on 22.09.2018 and pitched their ideas. Out of 13 teams shortlisted for final competition, 8 teams are from KITSW.


Year 2019-20:

  1. EDC KITSW had organised a one-day Mentorship workshop in collaboration with Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC) on 31.01.2019 at Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) Warangal. Total 200 students from NITW, SREC-Warangal, Jayamukhi Engineering college, Chaithanya Degree College and KITSW. Student teams that were selected during StartUp Yatra were also invited for the Mentoring Workshop.
  2. EDC KITSW secured Ist Rank among Telangana colleges, based on overall scores achieved by ISB-TEP participants in the online components of Phase –I.  
  3. Organized Orientation Programme on Entrepreneurship Development for all the first year admitted students (2019-20) as part of 2 week Orientation Programme.

Year 2020-21:

  1. EDC KITSW, organized a Workshop on “A RoadMap to Startup” on 31.01.2021. in coordination with the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering and IIC KITSW.
  2. EDC KITSW, organized one day Workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and IP Management for Startup” on 27.02.2021. Mr. M. Radha Krishna Chavahan, Secretary, Metropolitan Legal Services Authority, Hyderabad was the Chief Guest and resource person, in coordination with IIC KITSW.  
  3. EDC KITSW, organized one day Workshop on Creativity and Innovations for Entrepreneurs on 16.04.2021, Dr. Lalith Sharma, Faculty, EDII, Ahmedabad was the Resource person.

Year 2021-22:

  1. EDC KITSW, organized a webinar on “Journey from Innovation to Entrepreneurship” on the occasion of “World Entrepreneurs Day”, was conducted on 21.08.2021. Mr. Srikanth Soni, Founder & Proprietor Srujan Workplace Innovations was the guest speaker. Click here to view brief report.
